catching up

my friend paul from nyc called last night after scanning the blog, full of questions. of course, some could have been answered by reading, but it was good to hear from him and didn't mind filling him in. apparently i dropped a couple more bombs on him other than what has been written about and he thought it would be a good idea if i wrote about what's been going on over the course of the last four or five months.

so. a quick update so everyone reading is caught up. my girlfriend, patricia, and i are expecting a baby in january 2005 - we're hoping that he/she (since we didn't bother to find out the sex) will be born in the year of the monkey. having found out the news (rather were shocked by the news) early june, i moved from my rental in boulder, co, to her rental in denver, to start saving money. about two weeks ago, on 28 october 2004, i got a job offer from jacobs engineering in golden, colorado, that starts on monday 15 nov. and i believe the last bit of news is that my p and i are engaged. no date set, not even worrying about it.

i think that covers it. my stint at DBC ends friday, and moving ahead to something different and new. it's about time.
